On January 4, 2022, the Riverbank City Council decided, by a unanimous vote, to maintain the current boundaries of the four city council districts because the districts are within the total deviation percentage allowed by law, and therefore do not need to be redrawn. This decision was reached after a full, publicly noticed hearing.
The Riverbank City Council districts have a total deviation of 7.07%, which is less than the 10% total deviation presumed to be constitutional under case law. The total population of each district is shown on the chart reviewed at the January 4th Council meeting, and is available here.
The map posted on this page reflect the current city council districts adopted in 2015, and amended in 2020. It is the intent of the Council to adopt this map as its final redistricting map on March 22, 2022 at the regular city council meeting held on that date.
